Solvay foundry with history of safety violations facing nearly $1 million in new fines

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Solvay foundry with a history of serious safety violations is staring at nearly $1 million in new fines for more than two dozen new violations found by federal inspectors.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited Frazier & Jones LLC for exposing employees to the risks of fire and explosion, thermal and chemical burns, falls and other hazards.
